Discounts at Disneyland Resort ParisLAST UPDATE: 12/4/08 - MOST RECENT ADDITIONS ARE IN RED
Disneyland Resort Paris (formerly EuroDisney) consists of Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios Park, six Disney-operated resort hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe), a campground called the Davy Crockett Ranch and Disney Village (a shopping and dining district similar to Downtown Disney at the US resorts). I must admit that I was very surprised to learn how reasonably priced the packages at Disneyland Resort Paris can be, though the current exchange rate doesn't help, if you live in the US. In general the prices are nowhere near what you'd pay to visit Walt Disney World. And remember, the package prices include your passes and breakfast! In addition, Disneyland Resort Paris offers various seasonal discounts on its hotel rooms, tickets and vacation packages. I list any current offers below. Jump to: Special EventsDisney Halloween Festival is offered annually. (In 2008, it was 4 October - 2 November.) The park is decorated throughout and Frontierland is transformed to Halloweenland.
Disney’s Fairytale Christmas is offered from 8 November 2008 - 6 January 2009. The park is decorated throughou and special parades and shows are offered. Christmas season festivities include:
PackagesAll hotel stays at Disneyland Paris include Continental breakfast (pastries, yogurt, cold cuts, sliced cheeses, juice, coffee). While you can book just "room plus breakfast" and buy your tickets separately, you generally won't save much, if any, money by doing so. Disneyland Paris won't sell US residents a one-night stay at all (it appears UK residents can buy a one-night stay). Given this restriction, US residents who want to stay less than two nights will need to book one of at the very nice nearby hotels or resorts, which offer free shuttle service to the theme parks. Most people will want to buy at least a Classic Package, which consists of at least two nights' accommodations, daily breakfast, and unlimited entrance to the theme parks, or one of the package specials that run from time to time. The standard Classic Package includes:
* Except for special separately-priced evening special events such as the Enchanted Christmas Ball and the Carnival Party. ** The composition of the breakfast varies according to the hotel category. At Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch campground, you take your continental breakfast back to your cabin.
SpecialsMouseSavers.com reader Lisa S notes that sometimes the German Disneyland Paris site has tremendous deals. While the web site is only in German, she says the German phone operators spoke perfect English. Jump to:

Non-Disney HotelsIn addition to the official Disney-operated hotels, there are now other hotels that are on-site but not owned by Disney. Disneyland Resort Paris offers packages that include accommodations in these hotels, but MouseSavers reader Willem S points out that "it's better to book them via the web sites of the hotel owners. They have cheaper prices and interesting discounts." Obviously if you book directly with the hotel, you'll have to buy tickets separately. The hotels and their web sites are:

Annual Passports Be sure to see below for Annual Passport information and discounts! Half Board Meal PlansHalf Board Meal Plans offer up to a 15% saving in a variety of restaurants in the whole Resort. They are pre-paid meal vouchers valid at a variety of restaurants throughout the Resort for packages bought at a Disney Hotel (except the Disneyland Hotel). They're designed to help you budget your stay with savings of up to 15%, and give you the peace of mind that everything is pre-paid. You get one voucher per night stayed (for example a 3-night stay would include 3 meal vouchers per person) and each voucher is good for a lunch or dinner. Since breakfast is already included in the room rate, this gives you "half board." Half Board Meal Plans come in 2 levels:
Upgrade: You can upgrade your Half Board Plan to gourmet restaurants, the legendary Disney Character Dining, and Buffalo Wild West Dinner Show. For full details, click here. Disney Village Restaurant OffersThere is a web page devoted to offers for the Disney Village on the French version of the Disneyland Resort Paris site. It is not available in English. If you can read French at all, it is worth looking at this page, as there are frequently valuable offers for the Disney Village restaurants, such as 20% off discount cards, free parking when you spend a certain amount at various restaurants, and more. (If you can't read French at all, you can try a translator such as Babel Fish, but it's likely to produce gibberish.) Extra Magic HoursThrough the 15th Anniversary celebration, when you book a package in one of the Disney Hotels or at Hotel l'Elysée Val d'Europe, you can enjoy extra time in Disneyland Park on certain days of the week! Specific areas of Disneyland Park will be available to you either 2 hours before regular park opening or 2 hours after scheduled park closing, so you can enjoy easier access to selected attractions - even some of the most popular ones. On certain dates, Disneyland Park may be replaced by Walt Disney Studios Park. Currently this offer is available:
ParkingIf you are staying at one of Disney's official hotels at Disneyland Resort Paris, parking at the theme parks is free (of course, you can take the buses or walk, too). If you are not staying onsite, the daily parking fee at the theme parks is €8. Annual Passport DiscountsThere are three types of Annual Passports at Disneyland Resort Paris: Francilien, Fantasy and Dream. All three offer various discounts in addition to admission. Those discounts are good enough that they may justify buying one Annual Passport for someone in your party, even if this will be a one-time vacation at Disneyland Resort Paris. Unfortunately the Annual Pass information on the official Disneyland Resort Paris web site is hard to find and apparently only listed in French. The best resource in English for all the details on Annual Passes is an unofficial site called DLRP Magic. This site also has information about how to purchase an Annual Pass. Be sure to see below for information on additional savings when buying Annual Passports for multiple family members! Family Discounts on Annual Passports You can save 20% when you buy annual passports for a family of five or more. The passports must all be purchased from a ticket booth at the Disneyland Resort Paris theme parks at the same time, for persons in the same family who are all living at the same address. You must present ID for all members to prove that you are the same family. MouseSavers.com reader Amy O writes (in July 2007): "Disneyland Paris is currently running a promotion where kids under 7 are free. The Disney rep at the ticket counter at the park could not honor the free one-day pass for kids since we didn't stay at a Disney hotel, but instead offered free annual passes for our 2 kids under 7 if we purchased adult annual passes at any level. We were originally going to buy one-day/one-park tickets for our family (46 euros/adult and 38 euros/child) and instead purchased 2 adult basic annual passes (89 euros each with some blackout dates) that are good at both Disneyland and the Paris Studios park for a year and received 2 kids passes free!" I'm not sure if this is standard policy or if Amy just got lucky. In any case, it's worth inquiring! MouseSavers.com reader Marcus reports in May 2008, "We saw your site a few days ago before going to Disneyland Paris and saw your note regarding Amy O’s free child passes. We bought annual passes last year and were going to do the same this year. We told the rep. we wanted 3 passes (one for each of myself, my wife and our 3 year old son [who was free last year]). I mentioned there was an offer on whereby under 7s are free (referring to the hotel offer but not mentioning hotels as we weren’t in one of theirs) and she immediately said yes there was and that his pass was free and gave him the same pass as my wife which was a more expensive one – mine was just the cheapest pass as we can use hers for merchandise discounts and car parking etc., we didn’t need 2 of these. She did not, however, mention this until I did so it is possible this is a standard offer if you ask for it. So, thanks for this tip and it may be worth updating this on your site." Stockholder DiscountsStockholders in Euro Disney SCA (the company that owns Disneyland Resort Paris) can join the Shareholder's Club, which provides an extensive list of discounts including 15% off most tickets and Annual Passes, 10% off hotel rooms, 15% off at most table-service restaurants in the parks and hotels, 15% merchandise discounts and more. Each morning from 9 am to noon, Shareholders Club members can quietly start their visit with a light Continental breakfast at "Salon Mickey," at the entrance of Disneyland Park. Members are also invited to private events such as film screenings at the theme parks. If you own at least 20 shares of Euro Disney SCA, a two-year membership in the Shareholder's Club is free; if you own at least 5, but less than 20 shares, the cost is €30 for a two-year membership. (Note that as of 12/3/07, the stock was consolidated so that 100 shares became 1 share, making 5 or 20 of the new shares equivalent to 500 or 2000 of the old shares.) The stock is sold on the Paris and Brussels stock exchanges under ticker EDL.PA and can be purchased through many US brokers. Some discount brokers don't carry it. Trip Reports
